Good Game and Not Too Hard [which I Happen to Like as Frequently Referring to a Guide Means Someone Else Does the Solving!]

This game could probably be rated 3.5 but I gave it 4 stars to counteract the lower ratings that I thought were unwarranted. Commenters did mention that some of the hidden objects were unusually tiny to locate [true] but in fact, if I ever needed help with the hint button, that happened only once per HO game. Also, there were some different types of mini-games I liked but if a few were too difficult, a SKIP feature was available. The creepiest part of this game is that Rasputin was true to his magnetic form: compelling in looks, powerful in influence/fame but also abusive in his power. The heroine had conflict in her present marriage and a desire to know more of her family's Russian roots. I liked the fact that Lora's relationship with her husband was not all hunky-dory as is usual in these games...so yeah, all in all, I enjoyed the Russian flair to the images and back & forth storyline; the music was fitting imo; and the many scenes including artistic depictions of the real Rasputin were spot-on: unsettling but fun!

Rasputin's Curse

I found the game quite fun, except I didn't understand a bit of the storyline. My favourite part was the scenery and visual but I didn't like the level of challenge, I found it too easy.

Hidden Object Game

Graphics were not good. And hidden dosnt mean just make it really tiny!

The Curse of the Tiny Hidden Objects

I played about 20 minutes of the trial and decided against it. When I downloaded, I thought of a Russian adventure, and the introduction screen with the falling snow and Russian architecture really put me in the mood. Then I had to hear about a marriage crisis, had to get the kid off to the grandparents, collect pears for a tart ... It just dragged on. I wonder if they ever do get to Russia, especially because a lot of reviews say that this game is very short. The hidden objects are tiny a lot of times, and I don't see the point of using hint after hint. Sometimes, instructions are too vague - in the cluttered library, what am I looking for to open a stuck drawer? I can't see anyone enjoying this game, sorry!

Boring Game

I found it to have to much wall of text... click... wall of text... click... pointless and annoying. Game ok for 10 and under.

Boring

Pretty lame too long and drawn out at the beginning

Poor game.

What a mess... The story is confuse and doen?t have a good line. The objects to find are too small some times and some times you just can?t find them... in the hotel when you have to find 5 keys... what?s that ?? Thanks God you have hints... and the coins in the film set? Impossible to distinguish coins from gold points and ornaments. Lucky me I tried just demo and didn?t spend my credits. I dont recommend this game.

Ra-Ra-Rasputin, Lover of the Russian... now wait a minute!

I read good reviews about the game when it came out and played the demo hour. Ahm, yes, what can I say... the game is... how shall I put it... not so great. The spoken introduction started good, then wall of text... click... wall of text... click... picture... click... wall of text... click... animated picture... click... ah, a hidden object scene! Hey, this one actually makes sense! I have to clean up the stuff junior left behind. Then I have to pack his things for his visit to grandma. In short, yes, the HOG scenes in general have something to do with the task at hand and items are in kinda believable places, even if a bit small from time to time. Hints are recharging fast. But then the story kicks in. I won't go into detail here, but during the hour I went "Eh WOT???" more than once, and when I checked how much I've played to determine game length (about 2/3 of the way, leading to an effective game time of 90 minutes which is way too short for me) and checked out the rest of the story at the prime site for walkthroughs. And this was no longer "EH WOT???" but rather "ARE YOU KIDDING ME???"

Uh, what?

It's been more than a year since I bought this game on a whim, and I am finally able to talk about it in any sort of calm way. The game play was alright. The story was... how do you say... confusing? And disturbing. REALLY disturbing.

No walkthru and hidden objects are not available

For quite awhile now, I have tried to find listed objects that, according to the forum, simply aren't there. This is the most disappointing game, (and forum), I have yet. Really sorry I bought it.
